Repairing a Frigidaire Aquasurge Dishwasher Leak

Leaks from your Frigidaire dishwasher with Aquasurge technology occur when the appliance's detergent dispensers are filled past capacity or when the dishwasher is not level on the floor, which results in excessive suds and leaks during the dishwasher's wash cycle. Repairing the Frigidaire appliance is possible without the need of a professional repair specialist. The dishwasher's legs and detergent dispensers are adjustable, allowing you to have a leak-free appliance and consistently quiet cleaning cycles.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "Start/Cancel" to cancel your current dishwasher cycle, and wait for the dishwasher to drain the water from the current load of dishes.

    • 2

Open the dishwasher's door, and push the cover latch on the detergent door to unlock the main wash area. Lift the detergent door to access the appliance's current detergent supply.

    • 3

Scoop out the current dishwasher detergent and replace it with new, fresh detergent. Fill the detergent's main wash cup with no more than 5 teaspoons of detergent to prevent overflowing. Close the detergent door to secure it to the cover latch.

    • 4

Twist the rinse aid dispenser's knob to the "2" or "1" setting to reduce the amount of rinse aid dispensed during the cleaning cycle.

    • 5

Close the dishwasher's door, and place the wrench over the dishwasher's leveler legs on the bottom of the dishwasher.

    • 6

Turn the wrench clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the dishwasher leg's height.

    • 7

Touch the dishwasher's cycle option on the front panel of the dishwasher's door, and tap "Start/Cancel" to run the cycle.
