Check that the burners will light. Turn the burner knob on the front of the Jade range to the light position. If you do not hear a ticking sound, see if the electric starter is plugged in. If you hear a ticking sound and the burner does not light, the gas lines to the burners may be plugged. Turn the switch back to the off position and clean the line with a soft cloth. Try it again and see if this solved the problem.
Determine if the pilot light is on. Open both the top of the stove and the broiler door on the front of the stove. Look for a small, blue flame burning. If you can't see this, the pilot light is out. Relight the pilot following your particular stove's guidelines for this procedure. Try the burners or the oven again; they should light.
Adjust the flow of the gas to the stove with a screwdriver. If the pilot light is sputtering and you can't get the burners or oven to light, the flow of gas may not be sufficient. Turn off the gas supply to the stove and blow out the pilot light. Locate the gas input line into the stove and find the adjuster valve. Use a flat-head screwdriver and turn the screw located on the valve counterclockwise. Do not overturn -- one-quarter turn is typically sufficient. Turn the gas supply back on and light the pilot light. If you are still having issues, contact a repair company.
