Frigidaire ovens contain two elements for baking, roasting and broiling. The top element activates when the Frigidaire control is set to broil, and the bottom element is used for all other types of cooking. Electric heating elements gradually wear out with use and may burn out. When that happens, the part must be replaced before the Frigidaire oven will heat. This simple repair can be completed in less than half an hour for the price of a replacement element, saving you the cost of a service call. New elements are available at appliance and hardware stores.
