How to Remove the Doors From the GE Profile Range

GE Profile oven ranges come in a wide variety of models. Some models have two doors instead of the standard single door. If the range is being moved, repaired or cleaned, it may be necessary to remove the doors from the unit. Ranges in the GE Profile line of appliances are equipped with lift-off style doors that can be easily removed when needed. The process for removing doors on a two-door model is the same for both doors.

     Open the door fully.

     Pull the hinge locks down on each side of the door. Pry the locks down with a flat-blade screwdriver if they cannot be moved by hand.

     Move the door up to the removal position, about half way between the closed and fully open positions.

     Grasp the sides of the door near the top. Pull the door away from the GE Profile range to remove it.
