How to Find What Year My Samick Guitar Was Made

There is no easy method of identifying what year your Samick guitar was made. There are no identifying marks, other than a serial number and that alone does not help with ascertaining the age. The best method is to contact Samick Music Corp. or Greg Bennett Guitars, provide them with information about your guitar and ask them to help.

Locate the serial number on the Samick guitar. It’s usually inside the front panel and should be visible. Alternatively, look on the headstock. Take a digital close-up photo of the number.

    • 2

Take a digital photo of the whole guitar and then take close up digital images of parts of the guitar, such as the front, back and headstock. The more detailed photos you take, the greater the chance of the year being determined.

Print off the photos, or upload them onto your computer. Mail the photos, together with a covering letter to: Greg Bennett Guitars, 1329 Gateway Drive, Gallatin, TN 37066, USA. Alternatively, you can email the photos to: [email protected]. Make sure that if you mail the photos the covering letter has your contact details.
