Instructions

  1. Replacing the Belt and Unclogging the Machine

    • 1

Turn off the machine, lower the handle to the floor and turn it on its side.

    • 2

Lift the four tabs on the base of the machine and remove the base cover.

    • 3

Remove the brush bar and pull the broken belt from the machine.

    • 4

Install a new belt by wrapping one end around the silver motor shaft and the other end around the brush bar. Press the brush bar into the machine. The belt should be tight, and the brush bar should rotate freely.

    • 5

Remove the debris, strings, hairs and any other lint from around the belt and the brush bar. This will help keep the brush bar rotating freely. You may need to use scissors to cut debris from the brush bar.

    • 6

Press the base cover and close the latches to lock them in place.

    Replacing the Light

    • 7

      Unplug the machine.

    • 8

Remove the plastic lens from the front of the machine by prying the tab on the left and right side of the lens.

    • 9

Pull the light bulb out of the socket. Press the new light into the socket until you hear it snap into place.

    • 10

Press the lens over the area to snap it in place.

    Clearing Clogs

    • 11

Unplug the vacuum and remove the dirt container by pressing the release button and pulling it from the machine.

    • 12

Grasp the inner cyclone from the machine and twist it counterclockwise until it no longer rotates. Pull it from the machine.

    • 13

Wipe out all the components with a damp cloth. Let them dry completely for several hours.

    • 14

Replace the components and put the dirt container back into the machine.

    • 15

Remove the hose from the machine by twisting it clockwise and pulling it from the machine. Check it for clogs. Remove any clogs with a long-handled brush.

    Cleaning the Filters

    • 16

      Unplug the machine.

    • 17

Pull the slide-out tray from under the dirt canister and remove the filter.

    • 18

Wash the filter with water until the water runs clear. Let the filter air dry for several hours until it feels completely clean.

    • 19

Replace the filter and close the door.

    • 20

Open the swing door from the side of the vacuum and replace the filter if it is dirty. Close the filter door.
