How to Lift a Kenmore Cooktop

A Kenmore cooktop fits flush with the counter or top of a range, depending on the model. Replacing a heating element on smooth-top models, cleaning under the appliance or removing the cooktop itself involves lifting the appliance from the countertop or range. Kenmore cooktops attach to the front edge of the range or cabinet lip with screws. Using a screwdriver, you can lift the cooktop in a few minutes.
