How to Replace the Rear Drum Bearing in a Kenmore Dryer

The rear drum bearing inside a Kenmore automatic dryer holds the drum in place to prevent it from becoming unbalanced while it is rotating. A broken or defective rear drum bearing can cause the dryer drum to rotate improperly or prevent it from rotating at all. One common sign of a bad drum bearing is a loud banging sound while the dryer is running. Replace the defective bearing with a new part to keep your Kenmore dryer running smoothly.
