The belt on the GE WBSR3000G1WS automatic top-loading washer is located at the base of the cabinet. The motor powers the movement of the belt, which is connected to a pair of pulleys that control the tub and agitator. A broken belt removes the connection between the pulleys, preventing the washing machine from operating properly. You can replace the belt on the GE WBSR3000G1WS washer yourself in a short period of time, thereby avoiding the expense of a service call.
