# How to Hook up an Enagic Machine
A water ionizer is used to purify water coming from a home sink or faucet. Although there has been no scientific evidence that this form of water can be beneficial to human health, the machine is marketed as an “antioxidant” creator. If you would like to install the Enagic water ionizer to your home faucet, you can do it yourself with little hassle. You don’t have to call a home plumber to install the machine. The unit comes with all of the basic installation pieces to get your started.

Open the electrolysis port on the right side of the unit. Fill the container with the saline solution that came with your unit.

Set the unit next to your sink. Connect the water spigot to your gray hose. This hose has a suction cup on the end of it.

Connect the suction cup to the inside of the sink. Unscrew the aerator from your faucet with your fingers. Place the white nut on your faucet and then connect the adapter to your faucet where the aerator was.

Connect the water hose to your faucet’s adapter. Plug in the machine’s electrical cord. Press the “Power” button on your machine.

Place the ionizer water spigot so it will pour over the sink. Adjust the water adapter to “Ion” and then turn on your faucet.
