How to Fix a Range Knob

Your range has several knobs that allow you to control the burner settings on the stovetop. The knobs, which are typically made of heavy plastic or thin metal, are connected to infinite switches. The infinite switches are rotary dials and rely on the knobs to rotate the posts, which dictate the heat level of the surface burners. If one of the knobs is damaged or broken, it might be difficult to rotate the knob or accurately set the temperature of the burner. To regain total control of your stovetop, replace the damaged or broken knob.
