Instructions to Disassemble a GBC H400

Whether you're protecting vintage photos, or preserving old documents, an electric laminator may be a useful option for you or your company. The GBC H400 is an electric laminator machine specifically designed for professional laminating. But if you start to see significant wrinkles or air deposits in your laminate, it may be a symptom of a problem with the laminator's roller. Troubleshooting and repairing your H400 laminator involves disassembling the machine.

Instructions

    • 1

Power down the laminator and disconnect the main power cord. If the machine has been running for a while, let it cool down for about 30 minutes.

    • 2

Place the laminator face down on your work surface. Locate the Phillips-head screws on the bottom side of the unit's housing. Remove the screws from the bottom of the machine.

    • 3

Place the machine face up and carefully lift the top housing from the base of the laminator. This reveals the internal circuitry, as well as the mechanical rollers inside the laminator.
