How to Take Apart the Door on a Westinghouse Front Loader Dryer

Westinghouse front-load automatic dryers are manufactured by the Electrolux company, which produces them in both gas and electric models. In some situations, it's necessary to remove or take apart portions of the dryer to perform service. You can take apart the door on any Westinghouse front-load dryer to make repairs or replace parts.

     Open the dryer door. Remove the four screws holding the door to the hinges. Lift the door off the dryer.

     Pull the two panels on the edge of the door apart by hand. Work around the entire edge of the dryer until the two panels are no longer connected.

   • 3

     Lift the door handle out of the inner door liner.
