Turn off the breaker inside your main panel box that supplies power to your Kenmore Drop-in electric oven. Attempt to turn the power onto the oven to confirm you turned off the correct breaker for your Kenmore oven.
Open the oven and let the inside cool if necessary. Remove the wire oven racks from inside the oven.
Turn the glass light bulb cover counterclockwise to remove it from the back of the oven. Turn the exposed oven light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the original light socket.
Remove the two small screws holding the socket in the Kenmore oven wall. Pull the socket from the wall.
Loosen the two screws on the back of the Kenmore oven socket to disconnect the wires from beneath the screws. Place the wires beneath the two screws on the back of the replacement Kenmore oven socket and tighten the screws to secure the wires to the rear of the socket.
Push the light socket back into the oven wall. Replace the screws you removed from the oven socket.
Replace the oven light bulb and the glass bulb cover. Replace the wire racks inside the oven and turn on the breaker to supply electricity to the oven.
