Unplug the washer power cord. Turn off the water faucets connected to the washer inlet hoses
Remove the three screws in the back of the top cover. Pull the cover toward the back and lift off.
Unplug the cable connector leading to the control console.
Unhook the clips on the right and left ends of the control console.
Pull the detergent dispenser out as far as it will go. Press the release tab in the back of the dispenser. Lift the dispenser out.
Remove the screw inside the dispenser compartment.
Pull the top of the control console forward to release it from the cabinet. Set the control console aside.
Remove the two screws along the bottom of the toe panel. Pull the toe panel down and away from the Kenmore HE2 Plus washer to remove it.
Open the washing machine door. Grasp the tension spring around the front of the bellows with the needle-nosed pliers. Pull the spring and wire off of the bellows.
Pull the bellows off of the front panel lip. Press the bellows inside the cabinet so they no longer cover the front panel lip.
Remove the two screws next to the door switch assembly. Pull the door switch assembly straight out to expose the electrical connectors. Unplug the door switch connectors from their sockets.
Remove the two screws at the top of the front panel. Remove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. Lift the front panel off of the washer cabinet.
Loosen the screw on the bellows retaining clamp. Pull the bellows off of the tub through the front of the cabinet.
