How to Disassemble a Frigidaire ATF6700FS Washer

The ATF6700FS is a front-loading automatic washing machine in Frigidaire's Affinity line of appliances. When many common repairs or part replacements need to be performed, the washer must be disassembled to access the main internal components. The top and front panels must be removed in to access all of the main parts, such as the motor, tub and pulleys.

Instructions

  Unplug the washer power cord. Remove the screws along the back of the top panel. Slide the top panel back and up to remove it.

  Slide the dispenser drawer out. Press the release tab near the back of the drawer to unhook it. Remove the drawer.

  Remove the screws next to the dispenser compartment. Remove the screws on the top of the control panel.

  Press the release tabs on the top of the control panel. Lift the panel on top of the washer.

  Open the door. Pull the boot seal wire clamp off with the needle-nosed pliers. Pry the boot seal off of the front of the doorway.

  Remove the two screws along the bottom of the front panel. Remove the screws along the top of the front panel.

  Unplug the wire harness leading to the door switch. Lift the front panel up and away from the washer to remove it.
