How to Replace the Glass on the Front of a Whirlpool Range

Some models of Whirlpool ranges have a glass front, which can make them an assest to any kitchen's decor. However, over time, the glass front can become hazy or even cracked. A hazy or cracked glass front on your Whirlpool range can be an eyesore in the kitchen and detract from the room's decor. You can acquire a new glass piece from an authorized Whirlpool parts dealer, online or locally. The glass front can be installed easily using a straightforward procedure.

Instructions

      Open the oven door and grab it on either side with your hands. Pull straight up on the door to remove it from its hinges. Lay the door on a flat surface .

      Unfasten the screws that secure the metal trim around the glass front. Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the screws counterclockwise to remove them. Pull off the trim once all the screws have been removed.

      Pull off the clips that hold on the glass using a pair of pliers. Remove the old glass front.

      Set the new glass front in place on the door frame and press the clips in place where you removed them from in the previous step.

      Fit the metal trim around the door and insert the screws and tighten them with the screwdriver.

      Reinstall the door onto its hinges by aligning the slots and pushing down on the door until the hinges are completely inserted.
