Shut off the circuit breaker that controls electricity to the AccuBake as a standard safety precaution. This is simpler than moving the appliance to reach the power cord. Wait for the appliance to cool completely if you've used a surface element or the oven.
Open the door to the horizontal position.
Unscrew and take out the slotted screws in the door frame immediately below the AccuBake surface. Save the screws.
Raise the AccuBake oven's cooktop far enough to prop it open with the metal or wooden rod. Position the rod between the stove surface and the underside of the glass top.
Take out the screws holding the round steel cover over the burner to be replaced. Pull off the cover to expose the burner underneath.
Pull the burner on the side opposite the two points where it plugs into the power socket to release the defective element.
Plug the new burner into the socket until it clicks into position.
Place the steel cover over the new part and secure it with screws.
Take out the support rod and gently lower the AccuBake to its original position, using both hands. Do not drop the cooking surface onto the Whirlpool cabinet.
Lock the AccuBake top onto the cabinet with the screws saved in Step 3.
Close the door on the AccuBake.
Turn the breaker switch on.
