How to Replace the Rear Bearing On a Frigidaire Washing Machine

The rear bearing in a Frigidaire automatic washing machine helps support the washer tub as it rotates. One potential sign of a broken or worn-out rear bearing is a knocking or squealing sound when the tub is spinning. In some instances, the tub may not spin at all. When the rear bearing is defective or damaged, it must be replaced with a new part to keep the Frigidaire washing machine working correctly.
