How to Take Apart a Range

There are just some maintenance issues that every homeowner should know. How to take apart your range for cleaning is definitely one of them. Built up crumbs and other debris under the range top can result in malfunctioning coils and even fires. Cleaning your range regularly will keep it working efficiently and smelling better.

Instructions

      Slide the range out and disconnect the power source.

      Tug on the range coils gently and pull the coils loose from the socket.

      Remove the drip trays and place them in a soaking solution.

      Lift the range top lid up. You’ll be able to see all the debris as well as the coils under the range.

      Vacuum out any crumbs and then wipe away any grease buildup with warm soapy water.

      Close the lid and reassemble the coils.
