How to Install Defrost Heaters in a Kenmore Side by Side

Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators are manufactured in a wide range of models, each with a distinct set of features. Each model is equipped with a defrost heater inside the freezer compartment. The defrost heater heats up the evaporator coils to melt any built up ice inside the freezer back panel. If the defrost heater fails, The evaporator coils can build up a thick layer of ice, preventing air flow inside the freezer compartment. Replace the faulty heater with a new part to repair your Kenmore side by side refrigerator.
