Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect your oven’s power plug from the wall outlet. Pull the oven away from the wall so that you have plenty of room to work behind the oven.

    • 2

Locate the screws holding the back oven panel in place. There will be anywhere from four to eight screws, depending on the oven brand and model. Remove these screws to remove the panel.

    • 3

Look for the oven sensor, which is a tiny rectangular metal piece with two screws holding it onto the oven. Remove the two screws with a screwdriver. The screws might seem stuck in place, especially if your oven is old, so use an appropriate-sized screwdriver so that you do not strip the screws.

Pull the sensor out of the oven. At this time, the sensor is still connected to the control panel by a wire. The wire is secured to the sensor by a plastic connector. Remove the connector by pressing down on the connector clip.

Connect the new sensor to the plastic connector and insert the sensor into the oven. Screw on the mounting plate and secure the back oven panel in place. Reconnect your oven to a power source.
