Loosen and remove the screws that hold the metal back plate onto the range with a screwdriver. Set aside this plate and save all hardware.
Put on work gloves then pull out the old insulation material from the metal channels inside the range.
Use a measuring tape to determine the dimensions of the insulation material so you can buy the correct replacement size from a hardware or appliance store.
Slide the new insulation into the channels inside the range. The insulation must lay flat in the channels and not bunch up or fold in on itself. Correctly installed insulation should slide easily in and out of the channels.
Attach the metal back cover to the range with the screws and screwdriver.
Plug in the power cord to the appliance.
