How to Take Apart a Samsung DV219AE

To service your Samsung DV219AE dryer, you may have to disassemble all or part of the dryer. These dryers are held together mainly by screws; if you have a screwdriver handy, you can easily disassemble the dryer. Keep track of where the parts go, and don't hesitate to call your Samsung technician if you don't have the confidence to disassemble and reassemble the dryer yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the electricity from the unit. You can either unplug the machine or turn off the electric power to your laundry room at the circuit breaker. Put on protective gloves to avoid cutting yourself.

    • 2

Remove the top cover. Unscrew the cover and slide it to the rear to lift it off the machine.

    • 3

Unscrew the three screws holding the frame and plate together. Remove the wire holder and housings, being careful not to shake the machine or heater terminal.

    • 4

Unscrew the six screws from the console and remove the console. Remove the filter from behind the console.

    • 5

Unscrew the frame. Remove the door switch housing and the front panel. Lift the front panel off the three tabs holding it in place at the bottom.

    • 6

Remove the plate. Unscrew the four screws from the plate and one screw from the ring.

    • 7

Separate the wires from each other in the wire holder. Disconnect the interior light wiring harness. Remove the screws from the bulkhead before disconnecting the moisture sensor wiring harness. Pick up the bulkhead and take it out of the machine.

    • 8

Remove the belt from the machine, followed by the drum. Your Samsung DV219AE is now completely disassembled.
