An appliance reset is necessary after a power failure to stop the clock from continuously flashing once power is restored to the range. A clock reset is possible by touching "Clock" on the control panel followed by entering the current time using the numeric keypad. Once set, "Start" must be pressed to save the new time.
A blown fuse in your home causes the oven's clock to flash and click during reignition and requires replacing the fuse with a new one. The electrical outlet used to power your range should remain free of other appliance connections, as this can affect your home's ability to supply power to all connected appliances and lead to another blown fuse.
An incorrectly inserted power cord in the electrical outlet can cause the range to attempt to restart itself. Push the power cord firmly into the electrical outlet or insert the range's power cord into a different outlet to troubleshoot the power issue. If your home uses a circuit breaker rather than a fuse box, the circuit breaker requires a reset by flipping its power switch off and on to restore power to the electrical outlet.
A continuously flashing range that clicks requires a proper diagnostic test by an authorized GE technician to determine the cause of the problem.
