How to Replace the Hinges on a KitchenAid Oven

KitchenAid ovens are manufactured in a wide range of both gas and electric models. The hinges connect the oven door to the cabinet. If one or both of the hinges gets damaged, the door will not stay closed properly, preventing the oven from heating efficiently. In some cases, the door may not stay in place when it is open. Replace the faulty hinges to keep your KitchenAid oven working correctly.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

Turn off the KitchenAid oven. Wait for the oven to cool before repairing the door.

    • 2

Open the door all the way. Slide a hinge pin into the hanger hole directly above each hinge. The pins hold the hinges in place so the door can be removed. The hinge pins came with the oven when it was sold.
