Solenoid Pilot Valve Specifications

Solenoid pilot valves are small devices which effectively and efficiently compress air, water and refrigerants to maximize the pressure and flow of filtered air and water. If you are constructing or repairing an air or water appliance, you may find it helpful to understand the specifications of various solenoid pilot valves.
  1. Series 189 Banjo Pilot

    • ASCO manufactures and provides many solenoid pilot valves, and among their selection is the Series 189 Banjo Pilot. With a pipe size of 1/8 G and an orifice size of 1.2 mm, the Series 189 Banjo Pilot can be used only to compress air. Its operating pressure differential for air is 10 bar, due in part to a power coil which is 2.5 W and 3 W. The flow coefficient levels (Kv) of the Series 189 Banjo Pilot are 0.03 m/h, 0.5 l/min, 0.04 m/h and 0.7 l/min. The Series 189 Banjo Pilot is also available with a built-in exhaust regulator.

    Series 356 Pilot, Brass Body

    • The Series 356 Pilot with a brass body is a solenoid pilot valve produced and distributed by ASCO. Capable of compressing both air and water with a operating pressure differential of 10 bar, the pipe size of the Series 356 Pilot is 1/8 G and it has an orifice size of 1.2 mm. With a power coil of 4 W and 5.5 W, the flow coefficient levels (Kv) of the 356 Pilot are 0.08 m/h, 1.33 l/min, 0.05 m/h and 0.8 l/min. The Series 356 Pilot is also available with a stainless-steel body.

    EVM

    • EVM is a solenoid pilot valve manufactured and sold by Danfoss. Designed to compress fluids and refrigerants, the EVM has a weight of 0.248 kg, an armature tube size of 13.5 mm and an orifice size of 1.80 mm. With a coil that is VAC 10 W, and VDC 20 W, its maximum working pressure is 45.2 bar and it has an ambient temperature maximum of +80 °C. The Danfoss EVM solenoid pilot valve is intended to be used only with Danfoss solenoid coils.
