Trouble with the Ionic Breeze

The Ionic Breeze is an appliance that circulates air as well as draws air in to purify it and release it back into a space with the use of the OzoneGuard. As with any electrical appliance, you may need to troubleshoot a few issues from time to time. One of the main reasons for having trouble with the Ionic Breeze other than a defective electrical piece is having a clogged filter or other basic issue.

Instructions

    • 1

Check the openings to make sure they are free from any buildup of lint, dust or hair. As the Ionic Breeze draws air in for purifying, it may begin to build up with dust or debris from the air it takes in.

    • 2

Avoid placing the Ionic Breeze anywhere around a fireplace, even when the fireplace is not in use. Soot and dust from the fireplace can find its way into the air purifier when the Ionic Breeze is turned on. Keep the purifier away from any candles, as the smoke particles may cause a buildup in the filter.

    • 3

Turn the purifier off and unplug it if it begins making a static noise. Once it is off, remove the collection grid by releasing the provided latch and pulling up the grid from the top of the purifier. Rotate the purifier around several turns, then replace the collection grid and power the unit back on after plugging it back in.

    • 4

Clean the collection grid at least every 2 weeks to regulate clean air flow. If the red indicator light is showing, that means the grid contains excessive dust or debris and is having a hard time circulating air.

    • 5

Unplug the Ionic Breeze and remove the collection grid. Vacuum or use a blow-dryer to remove any debris from the interior of the purifier. Once the collection grid is removed, blow or suck up hair, dust or debris from the vacated area.

    • 6

Wipe down the collection grid with a clean, water-dampened sponge in an up-and-down motion to clean away buildup. Rotate the purifier two to three times, and make sure the grid is thoroughly dry before replacing.
