How to Find the Reset Button in a Trion Air Bear Air Handler

Trion produces a number of air handlers and air purifiers within the "Air Bear" product line. These units process and recirculate air for better home or office air quality. Built-in electronic displays and disposable filters ensure user-friendliness and a long product lifespan. However, occasional operation issues are bound to arise, and knowing how to reset the product is important. The reset button is not intuitively obvious on many Air Bear models, but with a little background knowledge even a first-time Air Bear user can locate the reset function.

Instructions

    • 1

Depress the small plastic latch at the top of your Trion Air Bear unit's main access panel. This is the same multipurpose panel you remove to change your filters every nine to 12 months.

    • 2

Pull off the main access panel on your Trion Air Bear unit.

    • 3

Look for a button labeled "test" near the top of the unit, just above the filter. The test button is usually located just beneath the red power light. On Air Bear products, the test button doubles as the reset button. To test the unit, simply press the button. To reset an Air Bear air handler, hold down the button for several seconds until the power light turns off.

    • 4

Slide the filter out of the Trion Air Bear unit if you cannot locate the test button. The filter pulls out of the unit horizontally. On most Air Bear units, the filter is loose and removes without removing any latches or screws. If your test button is not above the air filter, then it is likely behind the filter, on the inside of the unit.

Replace the filter and main access panel after resetting the unit.
