Instructions

    • 1

Select a 14-inch straw from a craft or hobby supply store. Use a thick-plastic straw that doesn't bend. Snip a 28-inch length of ribbon from the ribbon roll, selecting a color of ribbon that suits you.

    • 2

Spread fabric glue up and down the length of the plastic straw. Wrap the ribbon from one end to the other and then back down to the primary end with the length of silk ribbon. Do this tightly so as to adhere the ribbon closely to the straw, concealing the plastic.

    • 3

Slide the threaded needle through a seed bead of your choice of color. Make sure the thread of the needle is about 28 inches long. Stuff as many seed beads down the length of the thread as you can fit.

    • 4

Squeeze a thin line of fabric glue along the surface of the wand in a spiral shape around it.

    • 5

Snip the needle from the threaded beads and tie the frayed threaded end into a knot to keep the beads on. Apply the thread of beads carefully to the line of glue awaiting on the wand. Wrap the thread of beads carefully around the wand, pressing the beads into the glue to adhere them. Let it dry for 10 minutes.
