Honeywell Air Purifier Instructions

Honeywell produces many residential and commercial heating and air conditioning products, including furnaces, air conditioners, filters and air purifiers. Honeywell air purifiers come in a variety of sizes, such as tabletop, tower and permanent models and with HEPA or washable filters and quiet functioning modes. A purifier pulls air into the unit and through a filtration system to remove dust, particles and other potential allergens before releasing the air back into the environment. These units are available for purchase online and in select home retail stores. Using a Honeywell air purifier is relatively simple.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the Honeywell air purifier on a stable, level surface at least 3 feet away from any furniture or wall. The unit will be most effective if the doors and windows in the room are closed.

    • 2

Plug in the air purifier and turn the power knob to "High." Allow the unit to run on High for several minutes, and then turn the power knob to the desired power level.

    • 3

Turn the ionizer control knob to the "On" position to increase air filter performance during use.

    • 4

Turn off and unplug the air purifier if the "Filter Monitor" light is illuminated. Push the notches on each side of the front grille and pull the grille forward to remove it. Pull out the filter from the housing and rinse it under cold water to clean it. Let the filter air-dry completely, and replace the filter in the unit. Close the grille and restore power. Place the tip of a ballpoint pen in the small hole next to the filter indicator light. Hold the tip of the pen in place for five seconds and then remove it to reset the indicator light.

    • 5

Turn off the air purifier when it's unattended.
