Turn the power knob located on the purifier's front panel to the "Off" setting. Reach behind the purifier and unplug the power cable to ensure there is no electricity running through the device.
Rotate the purifier so the back side is visible and facing you. Grip the square ozone plate and slide it off the purifier. Set the plate down on a sturdy work area.
Mix a solution of half warm water and half ammonia in a shallow bowl. Dip a soft brush or toothbrush into the solution and scrub any dirt or residue off the top half of the ozone plate. Turn the plate over and repeat the process. Set the plate on a towel to allow it to dry.
Twist the thumbscrews located at either side of the grill on the back of the purifier. Pull the grill off to locate the filter. Pull the rectangular filter out of the Nature's Air purifier and set the replacement filter in its place.
Locate the glass 1-amp fuse at the bottom of the purifier. Twist the fuse holder to the left and slide the fuse out of the purifier. Set the replacement fuse in its place and twist the holder to the right.
Put the grill back onto the purifier and twist the thumbscrews until they lock in place. Slide the dry ozone plate back onto the purifier and ensure the back edge of the plate connects fully with the edge of the purifier.
Rotate the purifier so the front side is facing you. Grip the plastic grill on the front and pull it toward you to remove. Dip a cotton swab in ammonia. Use the swab to clean off the needlepoint ionizer -- look for two pieces of wire -- inside the purifier. Set the grill back into place and plug in the purifier's power cable.
