Verify that the machine is plugged in. If the red light does not come on to indicate the purifier is on, be sure the main door to the air purifier is closed completely. If the door was not closed, unplug the machine for a moment to reset it and try again.
Clean the purifier blades if the unit is making noise. As the blades accumulate dust and other particles, they may begin to make a buzzing sound. To remove the blades, pull up on the blade removal lever and pull the blades out of the main door. Do not touch the blades until they have touched ground such as a metal sink to avoid electrical shock. Clean the blades with warm water and a rag. Let the blades dry completely before placing them back in machine. The Ionic Pro company suggests waiting 24 hours before reinstalling.
Check for damage to the blades or blade attachment units. If the blades have been cleaned thoroughly and the machine is still making noise, look for any bending or dents in the blades. If the blades are damaged, do not try to repair them yourself. Contact the Ionic Pro Company at 800-875-8577 to order replacement blades.
Turn off the Ionic Pro Compact if the machine works intermittently. Unplug the unit and check the collection blades to see if they need to be cleaned. If you have recently cleaned the blades, then moisture may have entered the purifier. Remove the blades and let the machine air dry for 24 hours before trying again.
