The Sharper Image air purifier uses a stainless steel filter to help remove mold, dust, dander, pollen, smoke and other pollutants from the air. The air is passed over the filter, which pulls the material out of the air before the air is sent back into the environment. The filter can be removed and washed in the dishwasher on a regular basis for proper performance.
The ionization chamber converts ozone in the air to oxygen and is capable of catching even the smallest particles that might otherwise pass through normal HEPA filters. The process is patented by Sharper Image and is operated with a quiet motor.
The air purifier uses a system of four different fans to suction in and dispense the air. Once the air has passed over the filter system and is ready to be dispensed, it exits the unit through the four fans in an oscillating motion to more evenly distribute the clean air.
Users can set the Sharper Image air purifier to a variety of different settings to operate at low or high speeds, depending upon the pollution levels in the air or the particular needs of the user. The unit has an electronic control panel with easy-to-operate controls to allow users to change the fan speed as needed.
