• The Aprilaire Model 700 and the Aprilaire Model 700A humidifier are designed to increase humidity, or moisture, in an entire house. Each product uses an automatic digital control. This means that the user does not need to manually control the unit. However, Research Products includes a manual mode for people who prefer manual control of the humidifier. Also, the 700/700A use an outdoor temperature sensor to monitor outdoor temperature changes.

Performance and Capacity

• The Aprilaire Model 700 and the Aprilaire Model 700A humidifier are designed to humidify house with up to 4,200 square feet in size. According to Research Products, each humidifier is meant to deliver up to 50 percent more moisture than other units of its ilk in the market, as well as possess an evaporation capacity of 0.75 gallons per hour.

Physical Dimensions and Weight

• Each Aprilaire 700 and Aprilaire 700A has a height of 15.97 inches, or 40.6 centimeters; length of 15.91 inches, or 40.4 cm; and width of 10.34 inches, or 26.3 cm. Its weight is about 9 lbs., or 4.08 kilograms.

Packaging

• When Research Products released the Aprilaire 700 on October 2007 as the 700A, the company packaged the humidifier with two water panels, a company DVD, a weather station and a letter from the company president. When the "A" suffix was dropped, so were the aforementioned items. Each humidifier, however, is packaged with a saddle valve, automatic humdistat controller with outdoor-sensing bulb, 110-to-24-volt AC power adapter, installation instructions and Owners Manual.
