How to Mount an Alen A350 on a Wall

The Alen A350 Air Purifier has a HEPA filter that eliminates up to 99.97 percent of air pollution, and is ideal for individual rooms between 400 and 800 square feet. Unique for a purifier of this size, the A350 can be mounted on the wall to reduce the clutter in your room. Use the two plastic wall mounts on the back of the A350 to hang on the set of wall screws that came with the purifier. If you lost the original screws, purchase two 2-inch wall screws from your local hardware store.

  Measure the distance between the two wall mounts using a tape measure. The two wall mounts are located on the back of the purifier in the upper corners. Measure from the center hole of one mount to the center of the other mount’s hole.

  Use a stud finder to find the wall studs. This is especially important if you have drywall because the A350 weighs 16 pounds and will rip out the screws. Alternatively, purchase some drywall screw mounts specifically designed to help secure your screws into the wall. The drywall screw mounts are hammered in first, then the screws are inserted inside these mounts.

  Measure the area of your wall where you want to hang the purifier. Make two marks on the wall that match the measurement made from the purifier, making sure that your marks match the wall studs.

  Hammer the wall screws into the wall where you made the marks. Hammer just enough to get the tip inside, then use a screwdriver to twist them the rest of the way.

  Hang the purifier on the two wall screws. Lift the purifier above the screws until they hook into the mounts, then set the purifier down.
