If the purifier plate is creating noise or there is a burnt smell coming from it, most likely the purifier plate is cracked. This is preventing the purifier plate from working. Replace the purifier plate, if it is cracked. To get a replacement, contact your dealer that you purchased the purifier from or visit www.rppurchase.com.
Also, make sure that you have followed the maintenance steps required for the purifier plate as directed by the general maintenance section of the owners manual.
Check to see if electrical contacts are touching the screen portion of the purifier plate. Unplug and inspect the unit for any loose connections.
Make sure that the purifier plate is completely pushed down in the slot.
Make sure the lamp is properly installed.
Get a new UV bulb from the dealer where you purchased the unit, if needed.
Check to see if the purifier is plugged in.
Also, check to be sure that the outlet the purifier is plugged into is working. Make sure that the power switch is turned on.
Check to see if the fuse needs to be replaced.
Move objects away from the purifier that would hinder airflow.
In addition, check to be sure that certain parts of the purifier are clean such as the primary filter, catalytic screen and the purifier plate. If vacuuming does not work, wash the primary filter and the catalytic screen with warm water and mild soap. Use a small drop of mild dishwashing liquid on the purifier plate and use a toothbrush to gently remove particles.
Make sure the unit is in the proper environment, so there is sufficient air movement. Place it in a high place such as on a wall shelf. Also, improper placement could leave strong odors in the air. A setting that is too low could cause strong odors as well.
Making sure that the unit is in the proper place to prevent a haze of smoke is important. Turn on the "Anion" feature to prevent smoke. This feature maintains fresh air.
Make sure at all times that the unit has at least one inch of open space to prevent restricted airflow.
Use the proper power voltage.
Be sure that you do not take the unit apart because the warranty will become void.
