How to Remove H2O From the Air

Often the air around us is too thick due to the amount of water vapor in the air. Rooms in your house, such as the cellar, are notorious for having excess water in the air. Removing the water vapor is essential to keep mold and mildew from growing and to keep insects away. The best way to remove the H2O from the air is to use a dehumidifier.

Instructions

    • 1

Vacuum and clean the area you would like to remove the water vapor from. Remove any and all mold.

    • 2

Plug your dehumidifier into a grounded outlet. You can purchase a dehumidifier at any home goods store or search for a cheaper, used machine.

    • 3

Turn the settings on to High to remove the most amount of water from the air. It may take several days or weeks to completely dry the air.

    • 4

Be sure to keep an eye on the dehumidifier and empty the water bucket as needed.

    • 5

Adjust the settings when you have removed a satisfactory amount of water from the air. You can turn it to a lower setting to run as a constant to maintain the air as it is.
