How to Clean RabbitAir Air Purifiers

Rabbit Air air purifiers help to rid your home of unhealthy air due to building materials, pesticides, allergens and other toxins. According to Rabbit Air, the company's purifiers filter out 99.97 percent of pollutants from the air. To keep your unit in good working condition, make sure to keep it clean. The unit has an indicator light to let you know when it needs to be cleaned. Take a few minutes and use some basic household cleaning supplies to clean the three filter components of your purifier.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the front panel of the air purifier and vacuum the pre-filter with a nozzle or brush on a low setting. If the filter is still dirty, remove it from the purifier and wash it in warm water for a few minutes. Rinse the filter and dry it gently with a towel. Let it dry overnight before returning it to the purifier.

Vacuum the BioGS HEPA filter, but do not wash it in water. Use an attachment such as a brush or nozzle and run it gently along the filter.

    • 3

Remove the activated carbon filter from the purifier. Soak it in warm water with a little bit of mild soap. Soak the filter for no more than 10 minutes. Rinse in clean water, and pat dry with a towel. Let the filter dry overnight.

Wipe the outside of the purifier with a clean cloth to get rid of dust. Dampen the cloth slightly if you need to scrub any tough spots.

    • 5

Use the vacuum to clean the air quality sensors, located under the front panel.

    • 6

Press the filter reset button and hold it for a few seconds, until the cleaning indicator light turns off.
