How to Clean an Oreck Air 7 Filter

The Oreck Air7 air purifier is a small counter top air cleaner. From time to time, you may notice that the air does not seem as fresh or there may be some odors in the air even with the purifier. This may mean that the filter, or cell, needs to be cleaned. Check to see if the “WASH CELL” light is lit. If it is not, then you may have a problem with the system. If that light is on, then you can clean the filter.

  Turn off and unplug the system.

  Remove the front grill by unscrewing it from underneath the system (located directly beneath the grill).

  Locate and hold the two small handles in the front of the cell and gently pull the cell out of the system.

  Remove the charcoal absorber from the back of the cell.
- 5
  Remove the pre-filter from the front of the cell.
- 6
  Spray the cell cleaner on the cell and pre-filter until they are saturated.

  Let the pieces soak for three to five minutes.

  Rinse both pieces with water.
- 9
  Replace the cell and pre-filter into the system.
