How to Repair an AirEase Furnace

No Power

  Check the electric plug to your AirEase furnace and ensure the prongs are completely in the receptacle. Even gas models use electric power for ignition.

  Look for any evidence of electrical arcing such as black burn marks around the prongs. Arcing and any exposed wiring can prevent electrical power from reaching your AirEase appliance.

  Examine the power box for any tripped circuit breakers. Circuit breakers may be partially tripped, which shuts off power. Reset the circuit breaker associated with your AirEase furnace receptacle to “Off” and then “On.”

No Heat

  Locate the gas supply valve from your home if you're using an AirEase gas furnace. Ensure it's in the “Open” position to allow for gas flow.

  Turn off all electrical power and open the burner compartment access panel. Check to see if the pilot light is on. If not, switch the gas control knob to “Off,” wait five minutes, then turn it back to “On.”

  Turn the thermostat to the desired setting, which should automatically ignite the pilot light.

Low Air Flow

  Check the AirEase furnace filters for obvious clogging. You may need small house tools such as a ratchet set or screwdriver to loosen the air filter guard. Clean or replace it as needed.

  Examine the coils to see if they're frozen or dirty. If they are, turn off your furnace for one to three hours and allow them to de-thaw. Clean the coils and re-start your furnace.

  Turn on your furnace and go to various vents in your home to see if the air flow is consistent. If the air flow varies greatly from vent to vent, there may be a clog in your ducting, which could require professional cleaning services.
