Check the power cord on the air conditioner if the unit does not start or turn on as expected. Replace or reset the fuse or circuit breaker at the electrical panel if necessary. Wait 30 minutes if the unit overheated and shut off automatically before restoring power.
If the error code "LT" is displayed, turn the air conditioner off. LT indicates a low temperature has been detected and the unit may freeze if operation continues. Wait for the air temperature to increase before using the unit.
Turn off the air conditioner and remove the internal tank if "FT" appears on the display, indicating a full tank. Empty and restore the tank in the unit.
Check the air exhaust hose for obstructions or kinks if the air conditioner shuts off suddenly. Straighten out the hose and remove any blockages.
Close the windows and doors if the unit is not cooling the room as expected. Turn the thermostat to a lower setting. Remove the air filters by pulling the intake grille up and sliding the filter out. Use a vacuum cleaner to suction off dirt and debris or wash the filter thoroughly with cool water. Allow the filter to dry and then slide it back into position.
Clean the filter as described in Step 5 if the unit begins to emit a bad odor.
