How to Remove a Condensate Drip Pan

The condensate drip pan or tray is an important part of any air conditioner, as the tray catches condensation or moisture that drains down from the condensation coils. In most air conditioners, there are two pans --- one is typically welded to the air conditioner coils and cannot be removed. The secondary drip pan, located on the outside of the coils, can be removed if the pan is damaged or broken. Always replace the pan once removed, as a missing drip pan can result in leaks that can cause damage to the surrounding area.
