How to Install a Sharp Portable Air Conditioner

The well-known Sharp company manufactures a variety of electronic items, including televisions, cameras and air conditioners, among others. Sharp aims to produce quality products to help homeowners and businesses alike. The Sharp portable air conditioner may be used in any room with a three-prong, 125-volt electrical outlet. It cools a room down to 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Sharp offers a one-year parts and labor warranty on its air conditioners.

Instructions

    • 1

Wheel the Sharp portable air conditioner close enough to the wall that its cord reaches the outlet. Do not plug the air conditioner into an extension cord. Roll the portable air conditioner only on hard surfaces, such as linoleum or wood.

    • 2

Place the Sharp portable air conditioner at least 12 inches from the wall and any nearby furniture.

    • 3

Keep the Sharp portable air conditioner out of direct sunlight. When the unit cools a room with windows, close the blinds. Turn off the room's lights when the room is not in use. Lights produce heat which makes the unit work harder.

    • 4

Plug the air conditioner until into a properly grounded three-prong outlet. Line up the plug's grounding pin with the outlet's bottom hole and push the plug firmly in place.
