How to Install a 115 Air Conditioner

Pull the paper off of the back of the supplied top rail seal strip and press the sticky side to the bottom of the top rail.

Press the top rail to the top of the 115-volt air conditioner and line up the screw holes. Insert the three supplied type-B rail screws into the screw holes on the inside of the top rail. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver for each screw, until they are tight. The bottom rail is already installed with the unit.

Lay out the left and right marked accordion panels to the left and right of the unit. Align the bars of the left panel with the top and bottom mounting rails of the unit and slide it in. Align the bars of the right panel with the top and bottom mounting rails and slide it in.

Press the hard plastic accordion piece of the left panel against the left side of the unit and line up the panel screw holes with the unit screw holes. Screw three type-A screws into the outside of the panel into the unit. Repeat this step for the right panel.

Open the desired window and measure the sash. Cut a piece of the supplied window seal the same size as the sash, peel off the paper back and press the sticky side to the underside of the sash.

Pick up the air conditioner and place it gently on the windowsill. You may need help for this step. Press the back of the bottom rail against the sill. Center the unit as much as possible and lower the window sash behind the top rail. Use a level to confirm that the air conditioner is tipped slightly back.

Extend the right and left accordion panels until they fill the gaps on the right and left sides of the air conditioner. Screw in four of the type-C screws into each side of the extended panels with the flat-head screwdriver to fasten them to the windowsill.
