Remove the louvered sides containing the cooling pads by lifting them up and out of the cooler cabinet.
Screw the chain hooks into the top window facing. Hooks should be separated by a distance equivalent to the width of the cooler.
Hang one end of each hanger chain over each chain hook. Install an S-hook on the other end of each hanger chain.
Install two panel retainer strips on the bottom of the cooler neck flange. Adjust the strips to fit the width of the window.
Place the cooler in the window with the bottom of the neck flange resting on the window sill.
Hook the "S" hooks into the holes on top of the cooler.
Measure each window fill-in panel to fill the space on each side of the cooler grill. Mark the window fill-in panels and score the mark with a sharp knife and a straight edge. Lay the panel on a flat surface with the score mark at the edge and break the panel off at the score mark.
Install the window fill-in panels into the bottom panel retaining strips on each side of the cooler grill. Mount the top panel retaining strips on the top of the neck flange and the fill-in panels.
Raise the back of the cooler and lower the window down behind the panel retaining strip.
Level the cooler by adjusting the hanger chains.
Take the nut off the overflow pipe. Insert the overflow nipple through the hole in the cooler pan with the rubber washer between the head of the nipple and the pan. Screw the nut on the bottom of the nipple and tighten to compress the washer. Insert the overflow pipe into the nipple.
Install the water valve with sillcock on an outdoor faucet. Slip the nut and ferrule over the end of the water supply tube and thread onto the sillcock on the water valve. Tighten the nut until the water supply tube is watertight.
Insert the stem of the float valve into the existing hole in the corner post of the cooler. Secure from the outside with a washer and nut.
Insert the water supply line into the float valve stem and thread the nut onto the stem. Tighten the water supply line nut until it is watertight.
Install the louvered sides containing the cooling pads by sliding them down into the retaining slots.
Plug the cooler into an AC outlet inside the house. Turn on the water at the water valve.
Turn the pump on and allow it to run for several minutes to saturate the cooling pads.
Turn the fan on. Check the external water fittings for leaks.
