# DIY Disconnecting of a Ductless Air Condition Service
A ductless air conditioner is comprised of two parts: the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. The indoor unit is the main console that takes in hot air and distributes cool air through the room. This unit connects to the outdoor unit via copper tubing. The outdoor unit provides coolant to the indoor unit via the copper tubing. If you would like to disconnect your ductless air conditioner, you can remove the two pieces from your home individually.

- Phillips screwdriver or power drill

Use the remote control to turn the unit off.

Slide the indoor unit off of its mounting brackets and use a screwdriver or power drill to remove the screws securing the mount.

Disconnect the copper tubing from the port at the rear of the indoor unit. This tubing connects the two units and funnels the coolant.

Locate the outdoor unit and remove the copper tubing from the port at the rear of the outdoor unit.

Slide the copper tubing out of the small opening that leads into the indoor area.

Unplug the outdoor unit from its power source, and set both it and the indoor unit aside.
