How to Test an Empty Refrigeration System for Acid

Acid build-up in a refrigeration system, such as that of an air conditioning unit, can damage the system and possibly even destroy it. This can be devastating since many of these units can cost thousands of dollars. However, there is no need to let acid build-up occur in your system as there are many testing kits on the market that are readily available and inexpensive.

    • 3

Fill the vial with equal amounts testing fluid and water from the refrigeration system up to 3/4 of an inch below the neck of the vial.
