Locate where you’re going to place the Carrier AC next to your home or building. Look for the external AC electrical hookup and plan on placing the AC in proximity to it.
Clear the location. Obtain at least four wood beams, such as 2-by-4s. Cut them at least 4 feet long with a power saw. Make a square by connecting the four cut beams with a hammer and nails.
Mix concrete powder with water in a bucket until it forms a liquid sludge. Pour the concrete into your square. Flatten the sludge out with a trowel. Let it dry and cure for a day.
Obtain a packaged Carrier AC unit from a dealer after doing a price comparison with various vendors. Packaged units come complete with all the necessary parts. Have the unit loaded in your truck or transportation. Drive the unit to your location. Unload it with the help of a partner and a loading dolly.
Move the AC unit to where you installed the concrete pad. Place the AC unit with the dolly so that the connection wiring faces the junction on your building. Remove the dolly.
Have an AC technician make the necessary connections to your structure. Make sure the technician tests the system before he leaves.
