Instructions

    • 1

Align the supplied support brace onto the bottom of the platform component. Aim the brace so that it faces the front of the platform, insert a screw into the hole and screw the supplied nut onto it. Confirm that the support brace is tight.

    • 2

Open the window and center the platform on the window sill 9 inches away from the jamb. Different units require more or less space. Confirm that the support bracket is braced against the outside wall. Drill holes through the holes on the platform into the sill. Remove the platform.

    • 3

Peal the back of track seal and press a piece to the track inside of the room to prevent air from leaking from the bottom of the unit.

    • 4

Place the platform back into place on the windowsill and insert the supplied screws into the holes. Screw the screws into the inside track using a screwdriver or drill. The platform should be tilted back slightly to allow excess moisture to drain from the back of the unit.

    • 5

Measure the inside of the window opening from top to bottom. Measure the height of the vertical air conditioner and subtract it from the window opening measurement. Mark the number on the plastic window panel. Cut the panel from one side to the other on the mark with a fine-tooth saw. Slip the plastic panel into the supplied panel frame. The slide the panel frame over the top of the unit into the side channels.

    • 6

Align the holes on the side channels with the holes on the sides of the vertical unit, insert the supplied screws through the holes of the channels and screw the screws into the sides of the unit with the screwdriver.

    • 7

Cut two more pieces of seal with the scissors that are the exact length of the unit. Peal the backs away and press the seal to the backside of the frame.

    • 8

Remove the front panel of the unit and insert the vertical air conditioner into the window opening on top of the platform so that the sides of the unit butt up against the jamb.

    • 9

Slide the window over into, until it sits in the channel on the side of the unit.

    • 10

Place L brackets against the side of the open window where the window latches. Screw one side into the frame and the other into the window. The brackets prevent the window from being opened from the outside.
